Congee - Thai Style Congee a cool breakfast must try

There are a lot of food that you can have them as breakfast in Thailand. Thai Style Congee is a good one. Congee made from rice. Chef will boil the rice and keep stir it until it melt. To serve, chef will put any kind of meat like boiled minced pork, soft boiled pork liver, soft boiled egg or boiled fish. You can order congee and select meat that you want. To get more delicious, you need to go with deep-fried dough stick or "Pa-Tong-Ko" in Thai. To eat "Pa-Tong-Ko", just tear it and put on congee.
Actually, congee is not only be a breakfast but it can be a good food before sleep after you have a hard drink in the night. It also good when you feel sick and don't want to eat anything.

Tips to eat congee while it hot.
Congee need to eat while it still hot, so you need to sweep your spoon on edge of the congee. Then you will a lower temperature of congee which suit to put on your mouth.

To get to the Airport Rail Link at Suvarnabhumi Airport you can follow the direction below.

1.After passing Customs and access to the Arrivals Hall on the second floor of the airport. You will see "Gate 5" on your right.

2.Go right until reach "Tour service" counter (1 minute walk) on your left and you will meet the first exit on your right side, which there is an elevator and escalator here.

3.You can either taking an elevator on your right side or go left to take the escalator. This is to go down to B floor.

4.Once you reach B floor go by right (if you took escalator) or go by left (if you took elevator).

5.Then go straight for about 2 minutes you will see the entrance to train ticket office on your right.

6.You can purchase a ticket from the vending machine or from the train staff. There are assistants standing around to help.

Note: If you wan to get to BTS please purchase a ticket for Pha-Ya-Thai station (the last station). This will take about 30 mins and 45 THB.
Or if you want to take MRT please purchase a ticket for Mak-Ka-San station.

1.หลังจากจากผ่านศุลกากร และออกมาที่ห้องโถงแล้ว จะเห็นประตู 5 อยู่ทางด้านขวา ให้เดินออกทางด้านขวาครับ

2.เดินมาทางขวาสัก 5 เมตร (ด้านหน้า เค้าเตอร์ Tour Service)  จะเจอทางออกแรกทางขวามือครับ ตรงนี้มีลิฟต์ อยู่ด้านขวามือครับ

3.หากลิฟต์เต็ม สามารถใช้ทางเลื่อนได้ครับ ลงไปชั้น B

4.เมื่อมาถึง B แล้ว ถ้ามาจากทางเลื่อน ก็เดินตรงไปทางขวามือครับ และหากลงมาจากลิฟต์ เลี้ยวกลับหลังไปทางซ้าย แล้วเดินตรงไป

6.สามารถซื้อตั๋วได้จากเครื่องขายตั๋วอัตโนมัติ หรือซื้อจากเจ้าหน้าที่ห้องขายตั๋วก็ได้ ตรงนี้จะมีเจ้าที่คอยให้คำแนะนำอยู่ สอบถามได้ครับ

Purchasing Bangkok MRT ticket from vending machine - วิธีซื้อตั๋วรถไฟใต้ดินจากเครื่องขายตั๋ว

It is very easy to purchase a Bangkok MRT ticket from vending machine since the route is still not too complex. There are few steps below.

1. Check out your destination (station name) from the MRT System Map.
2. Select language (English or Thai language).
3. Select the destination.
4. Insert fare with Thai currency (accept Banknote and Coin)
5. Collect token (Black plastic coin) and change (if occur).
Note: Change given in coin only!!

การซื้อตั๋ว MRT จากเครื่องจำหน่ายอัตโนมัติ ไม่ยากมีแค่ 5 ขั้นตอนง่ายๆ ดังนี้

1. หาชื่อสถานีปลายทางจากแผนที่ MRT ก่อน ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะติดตั้งอยู่ใกล้ๆ ตู้ขายตั๋วอัตโนมัติ
2. เลือกภาษาที่มุมบนขวามือ โดยใช้นิ้วจิ้มที่ปุ่มเพื่อเลือกภาษาไทย หรือ อังกฤษ
3. ใช้นิ้วจิ้มที่สถานีปลายทางที่ต้องการ
4. ค่าโดยสารที่ต้องชำระจะแสดงที่พื้นที่ขวาด้านล่าง จากนั้นสอดแบงค์ หรือเหรียญ ที่บริเวณพื้นที่ชำระเงินมุมขวาบนของตู้
5. รับโทเคน (token) และเงินทอนและ ซึ่งเป็นลักษณะเหรียญ พลาสติกสีดำ ซึ่งต้องใช้ในการผ่านเข้าและออกประตู

หมายเหตุ เครื่องทอนได้เฉพาะเหรียญ ดังนั้นจึงควรหยอดเงินอย่าให้เกินจำนวนค่าโดยสารมากเกินไป ไม่งั้นต้องกอบเหรียญเก็บเป็นกำๆ

Taking a bus to Amata Nakorn Chonburi

This post is for anyone who need to travel to Amata Nakorn in Chonburi Province by bus. (Updated 12 Nov 2015)
Note: If you want to go to Chonburi City also taking the same bus and get off the bus at Chonburi Bus station.

1. Access to Ekamai Bus Terminal. (See how to get to Ekamai Bus Terminal from this post. "Taking Skytrain (BTS) to Ekamai Eastern Bus Terminal"

Note: There is a clean toilet located on the right side of the Terminal building. You will need to pay 3 Baht for using the toilet.

2.Purchase a bus ticket for ป.1 (in Thai "Por Nueng" bus) to Chonburi at ticket booth number 27.

3.The ticket cost 68 Baht from Ekamai to Chaloem Thai bus stop (before Chonburi bus stop) + Baggage compensation in case it's damaged by the bus not more than 500 Baht.
You can tell the ticket staff in Thai for going to Amata "ไป-อมตะ" (Pai - Amata). Bus will park at platform 3 and it leave sharply according to the ticket.

4.Bus will go via "Burapha Withi Express Way". It takes about 1 hour to reach Amata Nakorn.
You need to tell the driver after exit the Express Way to stop at Amata Nakorn. The bus will stop in front of "Plus Mall". From Express Way exit it will take about 2-4 mins for the bus to reach the Mall.
In case the driver can't understand English you can show him this Thai language "จอด-อมตะ-ด้วย" (Chod - Amata - Duay)

*Note: It is better to tell the driver since the bus pass the Express way exit, then the driver can access the main road to the local road and can stop at the bus stop in front of the Mall. Otherwise he may stop on the main road and you need to cross the road to the Mall.

Taking Skytrain to Ekamai Eastern Bus Terminal

If you want to go to take a bus to popular beach in Eastern part of Thailand like Rayong, Trat, Chanthaburi, Pattaya, Chonburi and all province in Eastern part of Thailand you have to go to  Ekamai Eastern Bus Terminal. (Information since 11 Nov 2015)

1. Get to the skytrain at any BTS station. Purchase a ticket for Ekamai Station.

2. Get off at Ekamai BTS station and take exit 2.

3.Get down to the ground and turn around and walking toward Thong Lo BTS station for 2 mins.

You will see 7-11 (a convenient store) at the corner of the soi (small road) and you can also see the building to the terminal in front.

Note: If you want to have some food before travel, you can get it from 7-11 or you can take "Khao Rad Kang" (Stream rice with side dishes.) which there is one shop in front of the terminal. The price will be 50 baht per 3 side dishes. This is higher from normal price but if you have a plenty of time you can walk toward Thong lo BTS station for about 3-5 mins from here. There is one small shop next to Museum of Sciences fence, which will get a lower price.
