Taking a bus to Amata Nakorn Chonburi

This post is for anyone who need to travel to Amata Nakorn in Chonburi Province by bus. (Updated 12 Nov 2015)
Note: If you want to go to Chonburi City also taking the same bus and get off the bus at Chonburi Bus station.


1. Access to Ekamai Bus Terminal. (See how to get to Ekamai Bus Terminal from this post. "Taking Skytrain (BTS) to Ekamai Eastern Bus Terminal"
Note: There is a clean toilet located on the right side of the Terminal building. You will need to pay 3 Baht for using the toilet.

2.Purchase a bus ticket for ป.1 (in Thai "Por Nueng" bus) to Chonburi at ticket booth number 27.



3.The ticket cost 68 Baht from Ekamai to Chaloem Thai bus stop (before Chonburi bus stop) + Baggage compensation in case it's damaged by the bus not more than 500 Baht.
You can tell the ticket staff in Thai for going to Amata "ไป-อมตะ" (Pai - Amata). Bus will park at platform 3 and it leave sharply according to the ticket.

4.Bus will go via "Burapha Withi Express Way". It takes about 1 hour to reach Amata Nakorn.
You need to tell the driver after exit the Express Way to stop at Amata Nakorn. The bus will stop in front of "Plus Mall". From Express Way exit it will take about 2-4 mins for the bus to reach the Mall.
In case the driver can't understand English you can show him this Thai language "จอด-อมตะ-ด้วย" (Chod - Amata - Duay)

*Note: It is better to tell the driver since the bus pass the Express way exit, then the driver can access the main road to the local road and can stop at the bus stop in front of the Mall. Otherwise he may stop on the main road and you need to cross the road to the Mall.

Taking Skytrain to Ekamai Eastern Bus Terminal

If you want to go to take a bus to popular beach in Eastern part of Thailand like Rayong, Trat, Chanthaburi, Pattaya, Chonburi and all province in Eastern part of Thailand you have to go to  Ekamai Eastern Bus Terminal. (Information since 11 Nov 2015)

1. Get to the skytrain at any BTS station. Purchase a ticket for Ekamai Station.


2. Get off at Ekamai BTS station and take exit 2.

3.Get down to the ground and turn around and walking toward Thong Lo BTS station for 2 mins.
You will see 7-11 (a convenient store) at the corner of the soi (small road) and you can also see the building to the terminal in front.

Note: If you want to have some food before travel, you can get it from 7-11 or you can take "Khao Rad Kang" (Stream rice with side dishes.) which there is one shop in front of the terminal. The price will be 50 baht per 3 side dishes. This is higher from normal price but if you have a plenty of time you can walk toward Thong lo BTS station for about 3-5 mins from here. There is one small shop next to Museum of Sciences fence, which will get a lower price.

This example, I order Fried egg + Pork basil + Kee Lek Curry = 50 THB

Getting a bus from Don Mueang to Suvarnabhumi Airport

To get bus from Don Mueang Airport to Suvarnabhumi Airport (Information since 9 Nov 2015)

1. After passed the customs and get out from the gate, turn left and then turn right to gate 6. (same gate as bus to the skytrain.


2. Look on the left, there is an counter for Suvarnabhumi Airport bus on your left after the gate.

3. Show your air ticket to the staff.

4. The bus will look like this.

Getting a bus to Skytrain from Don Mueang Airport

To get a to bus to Skytrain (BTS) from Don Mueang Airport. (Information since 9 Nov 2015)

1. After passed the customs and get out from the gate, turn left and get out from the airport at gate 6




2. After passed gate 6, look to the right, you will see bus time table.


3. There are 2 routes for the bus. 
Route A1: Don Mueang to BTS Mo Chit
First bus 7.30 hrs. / Last bus 24.00 hrs.


Route A2: Don Mueang to Victory Monument (Anusawari Chai Samoraphum)
First bus 7.00 hrs. / Last bus 24.00 hrs.

Both are operated every 30 mins.
Rate throughout 30 Thai Baht.


4. If you want to connect to subway (MRT) please take bus A1 to BTS Mo Chit and change to MRT at this station.

5.If you want to connect to other province like Western or East of Thailand, you can take A2 to Victory Monument and there is a Van station under the BTS Victory Monument station.

Getting a taxi from Don Mueang Airport

To get a taxi from Don Mueang Airport (Information since 9 Nov 2015)

1. After passing the customs and get out from the gate, turn left and walk to the end  of the hall (after the escalator you will see a long line of people who is queuing for a taxi.


2. You can queue on any line since there are taxi staffs manage the queue at the end.
3. When its come to your queue you need to tell destination (better prepare the print out address) and pay for 50 bath additional from the Taxi fee.

4. The staff will record your destination along with Taxi detail (car plate, driver name).

5. Taxi fee is based on the standard meter.
